DR EMMANUEL JENGWA
Principal
Dr Emmanuel Jengwa has 25 years’ experience spread across projects, academia, business consultancy and advisory services, C suite management level, middle and shop floor level hands on. His has worked in various engineering, manufacturing, mining, IT, Projects assignments and deployments. Dr Jengwa’s in depth understanding of strategy and operations culminated in unique doctorate research focused on the design of an operational excellence model for growth in VUCA Environments. The model and recommendations have since been adopted by many companies for turnaround endeavors. The model provides for practical solutions to the status quo wherein it’s no longer business as usual.
Dr Jengwa is a well sought after Speaker in various seminars given his vast years in training in governments and the private sector. He applies methodological and practical approaches with simulations based on real life experiences, scenarios examples that resonate to participants in provisions of solutions to prevailing challenges. In the discharge of any project assignment, Dr Jengwa pays attention to detail with intent to deliver and exceed customer specifications. He subscribes to SMART working while doing it right first-time applying innovations, reengineering and of late appreciation of AI.
Dr Jengwa works well in synergistic teams on projects for extraction of intrinsic value in deliverables, optimization, and reimagination of futuristic positive outcomes. He has led among others accelerated SAP ERP deployments, renewable energy solar mega projects, Liquidation mitigation with turnaround initiative driven by reengineering at the center of continuous improvements to back to sustainable operations again.
Emmanuel has advised in Blue Chip coperates across pharmaceuticals, beverages, fmcg, mining, Agro-industries and sits on two governance boards in education and societal groups. He believes in adoption of agility, innovation and cutting-edge technologies to increase efficiencies, reliability while recognising the human capital superiority over auxiliaries, robotics and AI. Dr Jengwa is passionate about capacity building and growing of responsible future leaders who can be held accountable for key deliverables within specified time frames.
Dr Jengwa lectures on management courses and programmes offered by Regent and MANCOSA Business Schools and Entrepreneurship. in addition, he supervises and examines doctorate students in University of Johannesburg and others in business and engineering related doctorates thesis. Over and above, Dr Jengwa, is an accomplished businessman who founded Futuristicworx – a group involved in various technopreneurships such as renewable energy, IT and systems consulting.
Outside mainstream work, Dr Jengwa is involved in charity with Sight to Nations Eyecare Foundation, a transformative foundation involved in screening, testing and provision of spectacles. The institution has to date impacted school going children, the elderly and the need to see better again. Dr Jengwa is the associate Director responsible for operations.
